Simona Di Vietri
Managing Director
Simona has over 18 years’ experience in M&A, private equity and structured finance across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, combined with a decade of direct operational expertise as business founder and CEO.
Prior to joining Aliph Capital in an executive role, Simona was an independent member of Aliph Investment Committee. Since 2022, she has also taken on a series of senior interim and advisory roles, including Head of Strategy and Growth at Varkey Group / GEMS Education, Interim Head of Investments at Auréa Group, and various interim positions as Portfolio Managing Partner with select asset managers.
Simona is the Founder and Chair of the Supervisory Board of La Latteria, an F&B manufacturing business based in the UK, that she set up and run from 2015 to 2022, with the aim to disrupt the traditional import / export flows with mainland Europe, while minimizing ineffective and inefficient long supply chains. After 8 years serving with an active executive role, Simona moved to a supervisory role with direct oversight over long-term strategic planning and management decisionmaking, allowing her to dedicate some of her time to ad’hoc and interim roles back in the private equity space.
Prior to her business venture, Simona was a Managing Director with The Abraaj Group from 2007 to 2015, where she was part of the Investment Team, but also focusing on the business development side of her investee companies (primarily in industries such education, pharmaceutical and manufacturing). Before joining The Abraaj Group, she spent 8 years in Investment Banking and Mezzanine Financing in London. Simona holds a BSc. in Finance and Business Administration (Honors) at LUISS University, in Rome.
